Looking for the elusive long lasting love

I long for a strong hand to hold

(Must they always let go and turn cold?)

One to stay once the stories are told

(Bets are off and they suddenly fold)

Who can treasure this heart brave and bold

(Seems a thing to be used or controlled)

And will love me until I grow old
