Thoughts of a 20 Something

Thoughts of a 20 Something

A Poem by Hairythoughts
"

I often marvel at what I should do with this life that seems so extremely short lived to me. My grandparents are almost 90 years old now and they still go to work every day (family led company).

"

Look at granddad and grandma,

They fight the age without a spa,

They look like straight out of a toon,

They are going to be 90 soon.

I sometimes feel I’m twice their age,

I’ll never be a humble sage,

Despite my most honest attempts,

I lack a meaning in this life.

Some more travelling the world,

Some more loving my girl,

Some more cheering you on,

Some more paying the loan,

Ten years are just a blink to me,

Each night before I go to sleep,

I wonder what it means to live,

Just as I fade into the darkness.
