Canvas of the Mind

Canvas of the Mind

A Poem by Valentin Velkov

A splash of raging red

A dash of sorrowful blue

A canvas in our head

Of emotional hues

Such as envious green

And black, which is sadly seen

Primary colours

Melding in contours

Forming fresh emotions

And grievous condolences

A far more varied rainbow

Finds itself spread wildly

Upon that mental row

Emotions felt highly

And those rather left behind

Find a place on that canvas of the mind

There is such artistic beauty in this poem. It seems like a dream as you read it. I loved the rhyme scheme and the soft build up to the conclusion.
