Unvoiced

Unvoiced

A Poem by Haimanti Sen

They never said

There'd be days like this

when birds forget to sing

When nights so dark they forget the moonlight is waiting to

cast its shadows,

I was only told about the

clear skies,The beautiful blooming flowers

the lovers on the park benches

and everything

Oh! so Beautiful

But as time passed i learnt

i should brace myself for the worst

'cause life isn't the pretty lights all the time

It rains here as well.
