FaithA Story by Tarekrain comes back.
After three months without rain, the priest decided to gather some pious men from the village and climb the great mountain to ask god for rain. They climbed. Halfway up the mountain, a boy stopped. He opened his leather sack and took out a wool, grey quilt. After smiling at his father, he wrapped himself in the quilt and went on climbing. It seemed that he did not notice the inquiring looks of the other men. It was hot and this boy was wearing a quilt. “Boy,” the priest said, “take the quilt off. It’s stifling; it hadn’t rained for months.” “Sorry sir,” the boy said, tightening the quilt over his shoulders as if feeling cold. “We’ve to be ready when it rains.” A tall man walked forward and pointed at the sky. He spoke angrily. “It might not r…” And before he finished his sentence, thunder roared at the sky and the first drop of rain fell over the boy’s red cheek. © 2009 TarekAuthor's Note
