Outside Sorrow

Outside Sorrow

A Poem by Hachamecha

Here I am at this alien place

before I leave, I was told to be strong.

But how would you stop a heart that will race?

Standing here, I don't belong

I know it in my heart, so I couldn't deny that,

standing in the storming rain.

Tired and heavy, I sat,

realizing the heavyness in my heart was pain.

Sorrowful soul of an outsider,

everbody just moving along.

Trying to quench my thirst will cider,

ignoring the strum of defeat as I don't belong.

i love the final four lines, especially the final one (love it!). It is strong and ties the poem together. The picture you are trying to paint is a bit vague, though, a bit more vivid imagery could help your reader look into your mind a bit better.

I've read a few of your other poems, and there is definitely potential in your writing! Mind your spelling, spacing and punctuation to make for an easier read.

Thank you for sharing your work! =)
