Selections to a Lover

Selections to a Lover

A Poem by Rhan F. Sydney
"

I have never been able to write a love poem, a real one in any case. Please enjoy and tell me if you would like more "parts" to this collection.

"

1.

What, my Love, am I to do?
When you have faded from my sight.
Your kiss, like nectar, is gone too
And now, also failing is my might.

2.

I long for you,
Sweet Angel of mine
Your loving gaze
Is all I need

3.

Home is not here
In this house made of wood and brick
It is only where you are
Home is in your eyes.

4.

Your voice
Like a gentle river flows
Into my ears it breathes a sweet sound
A sighing caress
Of resigned power
Whisper to me again
O' My Soul
My Love
Tell me once more
That through riptide or storm
That I am your one and only Goddess of Love
