The horrifying account of an army general living in Tokyo, Japan.

"

I’m Tybashi, an army general living in Tokyo, Japan. I’m going to tell you a horror story unlike anything you’ve ever heard.

One night in Tokyo, some fifty years ago, a creature rose up from the oceans and destroyed everything in sight. Death filled the air, as it tends to do on those occasions, and all of the city was engulfed in a wall of flames. When the creature returned to the oceans later that night, it was killed by an unknown power that inflicted massive damage. I was there. I saw everything . . . and I watched my parents die. I wanted revenge on the creature that murdered my mother and father (even though that might seem both unreasonable and unattainable in light of the fact that it had already died).

That was in 1954. Now . . .

It is the year 2004. I still want revenge on the creature that murdered my mother and father. Fifty years have passed since the attack. I am 56 years old. Therefore, I was 6 years old at the time of the attack. Of course, a 6 year old is very impressionable--not to mention capable of holding a grudge for a longer time than an adult is capable of doing this--so it is understandable that I still hold the creature in ill regard (despite its death fifty years ago).

But all that is beside the point. I will now relate the most recent event that has besieged my life.

One day I was taking a walk when I met a strange old man. He said that my nightmare would return to haunt me. I asked what he meant by this. He told me: “It is seeking you” … “it will kill you if it finds you” … “it remembers you” … “it is a supernatural demon from Hell, possessed with killing” … “no weapon can kill it except for the Chosen One” … “the demon has absorbed radiation and mutated into a gigantic monster consumed with evil and killing” … “it will not stop until everything is dead” … “be prepared, it will come tonight” … and many other things.

When he was done talking, the old man vanished.

“I must have been daydreaming,” I told myself. I walked to my city apartment where my daughter was busy making lunch. She is a reporter for a cheap program show called Digital Q. Her name is Mysenkie. She is 20 years old. I’m not always proud of her, but I try to be a caring father.

We ate lunch. She then had to go to her job, so I said goodbye.

Pretty soon the clock struck eleven. I decided to drive to Tokyo Bay to see if there was anything fun going on. As I was driving my convertible, it started to rain and thunder, so I put the roof back up. Thirty minutes till midnight. There were lots of people out. I parked my car next to the bay. I remembered what the old man said. “Just a daydream,” I told myself again. Unfortunately, I said this too audibly. People looked at me like I was crazy. I laughed and scratched the back of my head in embarrassment.

But as I was recovering from this loss of face, the clock struck midnight. Suddenly, the water started rising. A giant wave was coming out of the sea. Fishing boats were being rocked and beached. Then the whole wave disappeared, and nothing could have prepared me for what I saw next...

It was a giant creature! I did a calculation in my head. It was 60 meters tall. And it had glowing white eyes without any pupils, and dorsal plates on its back. My God, I thought, it can't be true... It is the demon that murdered my parents!!!
