Missing You

Missing You

A Poem by LovePoetry0004

I feel the crisp air on my skin.

The taste of bitterness still surrounds me.
The longing pain of your absence breaks me.
Piece by piece I feel like I am disappearing.

Your spot on the couch is empty.
I eat my dinners alone, drenched in the thoughts of you.
The apartment lies empty and still, all!that's left is me and my thoughts.

I blew up and picked a fight when I should have backed down.
All I remember is the door swinging open and slamming shut.
You were gone, and your stuff gone too, all except me.

I was the one thing you left behind.
I was the least important thing to you, and now your gone.
Every morning I wake in bed missing you. Every day I will stay, missing you.

This is really one heartrending poem.
Break ups are always tough.
Sometimes space is needed.
Sometimes just time.
