lonely

lonely

A Poem by Holly Mason

L-O-N-E-L-Y
After all ...
aren’t we all.
Just , wordless , speechless ...
lonely.
I sit next to people ,
I hear their words ,
lonely.
Another heart , another beat .
A time , a place .
lonely.
See

Loneliness can blight many a life. I lived alone for a while and I felt quite lonely at first. But I got used to it and although I am now married, I still like my own company now and then.

By myself? Not so much. Amongst others? More times than I can count

Strange thing loneliness, when you want it, everyone appears like magic.
Then the real loneliness of, where did they all go.

It is true there are many lonely people in the world. Even some who are in relationships but feel there is no longer love within it so they just go through the motion fearing if they leave they will be even more lonely. Good work Holly in revealing hidden truths in many lives and some who live in a lie.

Thank you for reading
Sounds pretty bleak. Probably better than Facebook, though. Better lonely than weird.

When it's inside...a crowded room is lonely....a relationship is lonely...

Hi Holly, yes we can be surrounded by people, lost in a crowd and yet without connecting, lonely. Nice style.
