Fellowman

Fellowman

A Poem by Holly Mason

It came to be...
All at once the world appeared
taking off glasses that made it disappear
shiny things cover the ground
smiling faces looking up, instead of down
harboring moments with questioning eyes
makes one wake up and realize
that all things given are the greatest gift
from the tiniest fragment ,to the spiritual lift
entering with sparkles that touch the soul
releasing our angers, letting them go
holding onto the things that should be so dear
loving them loftily ,keeping them near
these are the things that count the most
holding thoughts sacred for the Holy Ghost
our blessings are not tithes
that cease to be
our fellowman
is all we should see

Material things have no true meaning, but they sure do fool many of us... temporarily.
