'.. this driftwood watched ~ with no eyes for sight ~ so as it gracefully, + sweeps past the shores ~ cast a glance of forevermore.. '
Your words relate to so much but especially time, friendship ~ and hope. They are so descriptive, emotionally so because, for many and certainly me, driftwood 0 once growing and the endless tides are two of the sights we need see, watch and wonder at. Holly, it's grand to see you here again, been far too long so, please stay a while. Meantime, take care, keep safe. Em

You're very welcome. Polish up your Tuesday smile..
So lovely and well-put. This reminds me of the time I spent in the Puget Sound area of Washington state, where incredible, amazing driftwood adorned the beaches.
Morning Holly... it's been way too awhile. I'm glad to see you here... Spring is here - winter is back-stepping. I looked at a couple of pieces of driftwood I've here - saved from times' waves. They fit your thoughts hon.
And this, my friend is why I've missed your work. You write with such soul, beautiful imagery as you capture each moment with such sincerity. You truly have seen the beauty is something so simple. Lovely work as always, Holly.
better than calling it a poem i would say it to be a song.....a beautiful song.....that every person would like to murmur...it had it's own joy......an epic write.....Driftwood would like to hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a lovely poem Holly. The pacing is great. I like the rhythm and the asymmetrical rhyming scheme. The line "beauty, even in driftwood comes" stands out to me. The piece points out that even in things we take for granted or view as detritus, there can be found beauty and value. Kudos!
Well now , so many words to write. So let’s write em . Xoxox Holly
