Larry's fancy diamond

Larry's fancy diamond

A Poem by Holly Mason

Larry had one big word
only one of which was heard
a craft so chastised, avoided and abated
but a craft that is effortlessly jaded
he sold the piece, the coveting stone
a diamond so rich it shown all alone
the piece he had stolen from his grandma Jane
left her breathless knowing no pain
he grasped the diamond as he ran out the door
what would Larry do next, we explore
he took the diamond to his best friends shop
avoiding the gaze of the good many cops
but upon closer looking at this precious stone
they see it is fake, a diamonds lone clone
so now Larry has no riches to grasp
and grandma Jane is a thing of the past

You are so witty and creative. When we put money before love we will eventually wind up alone.
