Writing into Love

Writing into Love

A Poem by Holly Mason

I do not know love
if he knocked
I would answer, to a stranger
a personal love
my children I love
but not a love of passions flare
I would open the door
now
for I have discovered me
the writing of me
I would love to passion love
I now know this
I have opened all my doors
there maybe one still closed
I have cleared my debris
it was blocking my passions love
I know what I want
words I thought I would never write
I have been writing into love
I did not know it
but passions love
is the only way
I faint in thoughts
caressing them slowly
honest and true
my book cover was my guide
and it had little understanding
of it's own contents
what writing has brought
is the right for me to
write into love

We have to find ourselves and love who we are before we can truly love another and openly accept their love. I relate well to your words.
