Miss Calculated

Miss Calculated

A Poem by Holly Mason

She can add, she can subtract
welcome the endearing
Miss Calculate
she thought she knew it all
but then did some bad math
correcting it seems the heavy aftermath
you were nice,honest,open,and true blue
those are all pluses
now for the minus of you
Miss Calculate
used the wrong math tool
the minuses out weigh the pluses
when she got to the true
so she minuses the fact
that you are never around
minus the man who always
puts others down
minus all the pluses
Miss Calculate
now sees
that adding up to your measures
no one can ever be
so she tallied the score
and walked out the door
knowing truly
what love math was for
Miss Calculate
miscalculated her way
but with a new clear view
she will not look for another you

This is one very fuzzy-logic lawmaker

Like the clever way you compare making decisions with doing mathematical calculations. We all miscaluculate at some time. Well written

thank you kindly...smile and rainbows to that adorable pic
Ah, those miscalculations get everywhere, don't they. One simple error at the beginning and you end up a million miles from where you thought you'd be. Great piece Holly

Great piece Holly. On the issue of love 1 Corinthians 13 comes to mind. Love holds no record. Love doesn't demand.

yes sir...love that new pic*)
thank you so for reading fine sir
I can't add to what's already said. To multiply the same comment over and over would divide the attention that is due. I wouldn't want to subtract from that.
A fun piece indeed!

then add away young man and thank ya for reading
That was a whimsical and intelligent rant... we are all human and therefore make mistakes, those who can't except us for our imperfections are not true loved ones.
