No Matter

                                                         

                                                       this is the right spot

                                                       for a poem to lay to rest

                                                       but what if I don't like it

                                                       no matter

                                                       as long as it is in the right spot

      

                                                       but to me it is art

                                                       I do not want to hang it here

                                                       I just want brilliant, bursting words

                                                       they should shine a page

                                                       make a mind explode with delight

                                                       no matter

                                                       as long as it is in the right spot

                                                       trickery, slippery, words

                                                       callously placed hazards

                                                       a poem cannot possibly comfortably rest

                                                       no matter

                                                       as long as it is in the right spot

                                                       but to me it can dance where it would like

                                                       even if not in the right spot, with difficult words

                                                       I just want beautiful mind pictures

                                                       words that cause a momentary float 

                                                       no matter

                                                       free flow on the down low in the wrong spot

When the written words grabs you and wont let you go then it will stay with you forever... the great thing about poetry is it is subjective and like any other art to each his own. One poem could have a profound effect on someone while doing nothing for another. You can write about anything with creative passion.

Well you certainly chose the right spot for this wonderful poem. It is true, poems do hang in certain spots, but they are also something you can take with you if written well like this one is.

poems need to attack our senses, move our minds all over the place...

neat formant, consise, exact words...not always a good thing..if form overrides content, the poem will scream that to the reader...by being an absolute bore.
