AAAHHHHAAAHHHH

AAAHHHHAAAHHHH

A Poem by Holly Mason

Forget the pen
lose the mace
it is stinging
my writing face
hurry up
keep the pace
here it goes
a writing race

push and shove
ladder wrungs taken
advice so harsh
is death in the making

don't do a rr
do do a rant
a dash of this
a little of that
wait sort it
then put it back
now come around again
maybe it is talent we lack
a guessing game
a writing race
horse play
rate it high
give it a like
multiple accounts
a husband and wife
do you like me?
why do we care
two months on wc
and I am pulling out my hair

i'm coming in last this morning...

yes, it is not about quantity, but quality..

and it is about being real...

we are lucky to write...and i wish everyone felt that..

poetry is not competition....

it is experience, feeling and relating on some level.

thank you for crossing the finish line*)*)*)
And you said it so nicely... first off the writing should be a bout quality not quantity... I do not do rate anymore nor care if I get one. For me it is abput people relating to my work or having it make them think, sometimes hopefully entertain them as well.

THis was quite witty.

No, it's all those mud baths in the swamp and no shampoo. :-)
Amazing!

While reading it, I just found myself racing through the lines. I even read again to try if the same effect would happen. And it did!

The spontaneity of this poem is superb. It was as if I was reading the mind of the poetic persona. This is such a spontaneous overflow of instant thoughts. Well, it really appears that way. Makes me think that the poet writes as she thinks. =)

Thank you for sharing this fast-paced poetry, Holly. =)
