End to Finish

End to Finish

A Poem by Holly Mason

Silently sitting
waiting to fight
lights are dim
atmosphere stark
gavel down
time to start
open cages
loose leaf pages
garnishing
or attaching wages
hurtful pain
mad pouring rain
gavel down final
new pages
now turn
forget the end
finish to learn

Every experience in our lives will teach us something, so until we finish we will not learn from it.
