Love Store Closed

Love Store Closed

A Poem by Holly Mason

I see love
I feel love
I am glad
for those that love
but my love store
is closed
and I am good with
that
I owe no taxes
I have inventory
I have employees
but my love store
is closed
and it scares me
that I am good with
that
so comfortable with it
I want you to shop
I want you to love, love
but my love store
is closed
and I am good with
that
shop until your heart
is content...
My love.

the concept of a "love store" is intriguing. The fact that it is "closed" affords the possibility that it will reopen tomorrow, or may never open its doors again. It would be interesting to further develop the thought where you could discuss the different trinkets and curios available to buy..

My love is not for sale. My love can't be bought. But I give it freely and receive it freely from those who truly care. Some folks define love as romance but I define love as caring more about someone else than you do yourself. You want their happiness more than your own. You are willing to work, sacrifice and take responsibility for their happiness...it's your job or even your "duty"...towards them. I think Jesus felt that way about everybody but he wasn't always happy himself. " A man of sorrows; well aquainted with grief..." is how the Bible puts it. I wish everyone in the world felt loved. Maybe you should have a "fire sale" and clear out the inventory... (smile)

I don't blame you a bit for sometimes we have to seek rest from tired days . It seems nowadays love is like a merchandise to be bought and sold even the TV stations shine the light on material love vs the spiritual one.
A very good unique write...:)

Yes, dear Holly, I feel here your love still shining through for others, isn't that the most important friendship out of love you can give? Such a honest piece, of work, and
true freedom felt, you're a gem, in what you just reached here. Thanks for sharing this with us, poetess...
