Silly Little Sarcasm

Silly Little Sarcasm

A Poem by Holly Mason

Silly little sarcasm.
Why are you my friend?
Because when you need me,
I will give until the end.
Then why am I empty,
so much of the time?
Because sarcasm and guilt,
walk a mighty fine line.

It's easy being snappy. Sometimes it's really hard to hold your tongue.

yes it is sir...thank you so much for reading
sometimes those who feel the most guilt speak sarcastically...

and the irony is that they are really poking fun at themselves.

it is hard to live with guilt...

sarcasm is the easier of the two.

Can so relate to this poem, for sarcasm is, my friend and protector, too. Having gotten in trouble at a previous job, for my sarcasm. Sigh.
