Devil of a Rock BandA Poem by Holly Mason
Now sit right down oh son of mine.
I am going to sing a song so fine. The lyrics are yours so sing along. This is going to be a devil of a song. Whistle a tune without any sound. Quietly ,the devil comes to town. Hop right in this big freight truck. Now the devil will spin your luck. Come in don't wait, a solo performance. The devil and his son, a show so enormous. For I am a devil but appear to be man. Dancing, singing, in the devil rock band. Standing on stage they party all night. Knowing the crowd is in sheer delight. Clap, clap ,clap, or the devil will fine. Like Lawrence Welk, clinging to the times. Over and over the devils song is so long. It will not be over even when you are gone. Devil he grabs the big microphone. It is better to be with me then all alone. Whistle while you work with not any sound. For the devil and his son are rocking this town.
