Portrait of an Angel

Portrait of an Angel

A Poem by Holly Mason

Portraying a portrait
of an angel with no wings
I sit and ponder of life and things
beautiful is this angels tear
for even with no wings
an angel shows no fear
the portrait is complete
the showing is drawing near
the portrait of a wingless angel
with one beautiful tear
the curtain is drawn
the audience gasps
for this portrait is of an angel
with the devil in it's clasp

Quite deep and beautifully written. The wingless angel who watches over us, keeping the devil at bay.
