Serpent's Smile

Serpent's Smile

A Poem by Holly Mason

licking lips
chastity broken
heart left open
suspicious mate
retaliate
seal fate

forgiving
waiting
patience tested
serpent smile bested
love distinguished
loves lips despise
serpent smiles are wise
open your eyes

do serpents really smile? If they actually do, i won't need an eye opener. A speedy leg would do :)

well thank you
as long as you can see through it*)
Great choice of words. Keeping it flowing like water down a river letting out into an awaiting deep pool.

thank you much hope you are having a relaxing Sunday
we are often fooled...and when it is too late...and love is extinguished rather than distinguished, we figure it out...in title did you mean "Serpent's Smile"?

i like "suspicious mate/ retaliate/ seal fate."

love those lines.
