Crash Course

Crash Course

A Poem by Holly Mason

I am on a one way street and all I see is,
me, me, me.
I am on an open highway and all I see is,
me, me me.
The passing lane has heavy traffic and all I see is,
me ,me, me.
People on the side of the road and all I see is,
me ,me, me.
Hitting a guard rail, my car hits a tree and all I think is,
me, me, me.
I awake in a room, don't know where I am and all I can think is,
me, me, me.
What do you mean it will not be the same and all I can think is,
me ,me, me.
The mirror in my trembling hand and all I can think is,
no ,no ,no.
I do not know this person from the inside out ,only outside in and all I can think is
we,we,we.

Yeah, this is powerful. The tone, the way the tension gradually built up into a crescendo, then sadly, gently brings you down. A heartfelt and moving piece. Beautiful, Holly.

whoa, This will take thought,a lot of poem in this thought,I will let it hold my hand as I sleep, like a guitar lick learned in the back of my brain ,then I sleep and it moves to the front.Sleep on this.
