Sun Lilly's

Sun Lilly's

A Poem by Holly Mason

Here is where the light fairy's play
coming with a soft song to lay
sun lilly by the flowing stream
fairy light with her body beam
rays of peaceful ribbon light
wrapping the stars with delight
fluttering wings of paradise
sun lilly fairy's shine on tonight
she whispers a dust of fairy breath
so long sun lilly for fairy death
and with no light for fairy's shine
no sun lilly could be divine

thank you very much for reading truly appreciate*)
Beautiful, the rhythm flows nicely, but dare I say excet for one line. Try stars with such delight. It is how it read in my mind as I read along. What do think about last line could quite "survive"? In my opinion if you capitalized the first letter in each line it would bring more attention to the line. Just some honest suggestions. I am always open to some on mine also. I know this will make me a better and humble writer. Thanks, Michael.

It is!! I guess I don't really write all that different, but I have fun with it. XD
Your words made me smile, feel happy! The poem skips along with wonderful images and the meter makes it into a kind of song to fairies and all things beautiful like lilies and colours and whiffs of breath and.. and .. Love it!

glad i could bring you some mirth on a Sunday morning (it is morning in North Carolinas)
I hate to see faries bite it. It has a nice lilting tone that matches the fluttering wings of fairies that are all around us, when we are in beauty. you poem demands re-reads, which I believe is always the sign of strong work. Thank you for writing it.
