Sun Lilly's

Sun Lilly's

A Poem by Holly Mason

Here is where the light fairy's play
coming with a soft song to lay
sun lilly by the flowing stream
fairy light with her body beam
rays of peaceful ribbon light
wrapping the stars with delight
fluttering wings of paradise
sun lilly fairy's shine on tonight
she whispers a dust of fairy breath
so long sun lilly for fairy death
and with no light for fairy's shine
no sun lilly could be divine

this is simply a ethereal beautiful poem, one that delights the reader's imagination into a delightful, serene fantasy, where one does not want to leave, when this write unfortunately ends. Wonderful use of imagery and meter. Brilliantly penned! Thanks for sharing :)

Really love this. I have a small book of poetry about fairies somewhere that was a gift many years ago. Now I want to find it!!! This was beautiful with an essence of sadness at the end. :-)
