Sun Lilly's

Sun Lilly's

A Poem by Holly Mason

Here is where the light fairy's play
coming with a soft song to lay
sun lilly by the flowing stream
fairy light with her body beam
rays of peaceful ribbon light
wrapping the stars with delight
fluttering wings of paradise
sun lilly fairy's shine on tonight
she whispers a dust of fairy breath
so long sun lilly for fairy death
and with no light for fairy's shine
no sun lilly could be divine

This was charming. It put me in that "special-place" serene and delicate imagery you have penned.

"and with no light for fairy's shine

Such Beauty, showing how in our tiny and not so tiny ways we all affect one another.

There are times that "proper" gets in the way, this would have been one of those times....Wonderful.

thank you so for your kind words...
I love the line ''she whispers a dust of fairy breath''
The words give great imagination and somehow the poem makes me want summer so much! Nicely done! :)
