Dance of Romance

Dance of Romance

A Poem by Holly Mason

Two lovers ,one place.
Can they keep up the pace?
Under the stars does wonders,
for a wall flower full of blunders.
Beauty in the eye of the beholder.
Has turned them into love soldiers.
Walking a dangerous tight rope,
their families will never cope.
For he is a prince of time.
She is a pauper, not even a dime.
No one can know how well they dance.
For this love, they now take a stance.
Swaying so easily ,with no melody needed.
A beautiful dance that is so completed.
All the steps are waves of loves fire.
Footsteps are coming, the time is dire.
Their field of romance has been disturbed.
He leaves her with not even a word.
Two lovers now stolen apart.
Two people, but only one beating heart.
Dancing again at heavens gate.
Churning with love and spiritual fate.
The dance of romance can not be taught.
It is not on a store shelf to be bought.
It is a feeling of absolute faith,
dancing,romancing, two lovers now safe.

A very lovely poem...it sounds a bit like Cinderella meets Romeo and Juliet...two of my favorite love stories...although one ends in tradgedy. Time and love make fools of us all sooner or later. Bless.

Finding the right love and then knowing it is indeed, the right love,is one of life's true pleasures. Not mattering if they are from different walks of life, people find each other. Your poem is like a dance, orderly and measured, with just a bit of flare. Very nicely written

So beautiful Holly! I love the lines:
The dance of romance can not be taught.
It is not on a store shelf to be bought.

Love/romance is an extension of one's soul!
