High strung

High strung

A Poem by Holly Mason

Pull the pieces all together.
Glue them back in place.
Maybe it is this easy ,no doubt.
What the hell was that about?
Painful but true, left you no clue.
All alone now what are you to do?
Bounce off the walls, make them dirty.
When the doors open be overly flirty.
Wink and a gun gets em' everytime.
Now so many, you start a line.
Pace back and forth so fast.
Making me wonder how long will you last?
Throw your hair all around your shoulders
Ignore them, interest couldn't be any colder.
That gets it going all again ,so start,
what you can't finish please have a heart.
Gleaming now ,you know you have won.
No one will forget the girl who has fun.
Except those that live only in envy.
Not knowing how to enjoy there's plenty.
Live vicariously if so needed.
Like reading a book do it only while seated.

Clever and a little humorous.
I like the last two lines.
