Frozen Waterfall

Frozen Waterfall

A Poem by Holly Mason

Waterfall so beautiful ,so tall
coming down a mountain side
licking the earth as you tumble down
feelings released,some joy and pleasure
leave you empty light as a feather
frozen waterfall,how will you thaw?
by touching the place that means the most
the water has stopped, it is locked inside
the tears you send down are easily wiped away
come back to us, come over the mountain
climb it,hurry down,rush your waters
you have it all smells that entice,
hearing bliss, eyes fill with joy, touching power,
you have it all, remember that you have our need
the place that means the most is right here
words onto paper thaw the waterfall
words in the heart thaw the waterfall
words shared with others in need
thawed ,running down,coming alive
frozen waterfall is free

Wonderful idea transformed as a unique piece.
I imagine a fall being thawed and enjoy the beauty that follows with it.
Love the line: "frozen waterfall is free"

thank you for taking time to read and review
different write....but the same page hahah
You have used the cleansing and "absolution"-like properties of water very well here, and it has a strange but very attractive quality of both drawing one in yet presenting a bird's eye view at the same time, well done!!

I really like your writing style and I, as a young writer, am inpired by this style. I looking forwa.. read more
i see allegory here..yes, the waterfall, the frozen water thawing...but i also see the tears of pain from a failed relationship...losing someone, freezing up..the emotions frozen in place, and then a spring happens...someone comes along who gets the water running again.

thank you much jacob I love when you read
When comes the spring
- inside -
thawed thoughts will flow
and land beside the smile
held so tight within
and renew the water's fall
all over again...
