Windowsill Wine

Windowsill Wine

A Poem by Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)
"

Not all things age well, or like fine wine, as some would say.

"
Fermenting thoughts, spill
From the brim of my mind's eye
And I can no longer suppress
All those vinegar notes
The taste of you has bittered
Like a sour'd wine...
Hopefully, the stain isn't permanent

Oh so so clever Travis...
Sadly many relationships do start out with a burst of fresh air only to end painfully like a dead spider in the corner of the room.
Loved this early morning read, Lisa...in Spain

Some relationships can start out so well, and yet they end quite bitterly. Perfectly and poetically described!

Gee
Hmmm, that bitter taste that some folk leave does linger but drinking from other glasses helps to remove the taste until it no longer there.

If only there was some baking soda for the lovelorn. Just remember the heartbroken are always in good company. A short verse for you, dear poetic friend:)

honey is better
than bitter wine
pour the mead
share some cheer
with the similarly
pickled

(That would be me ... pickled)

Some stains don't fade. Excellent brevity and knife sharp with it. You certainly made your point. Better out than in says I. Well done Travis.
