And 'Tis is Why

One of my earliest pieces.

In a dark shadow

Alone I slept

With thoughts of having nothing

And no one left

There you were

 

With eyes focused on the sun

Finally starting to smile before the task was won

Even feeling quite happy before the day was done

And there you were

 

Even at times

When I didn't know what to do

Not knowing whether I was grey or blue

And still,

There you were just as true

 

And 'tis is why

No matter what you do

Whether your skies are grey or blue

I will always be there for you

I didn't see a problem with tenses. A slight typo here: Evan at times

It is always amazing to is when someone comes along, picks is up, dusts us off and sees all the things in us we can't seem to see ourselves.

Yea, it is... i've never been able to compare them in such a manner. They were all fading words on weathering pieces of paper. Thanks for this great review, Rose.
