The Incredible Shrinking MeA Poem by Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)her eyes effectwith every look from your eyes i grow smaller... ever shrinking your stare siezes me i have yet to find the strength to dare look away still shrinking--- the sight of you keeps me captive i stand before you as tall and proud as i can and yet, that look in your eyes... humbles me never have i experienced such unsettled comfort i wonder why you have yet to look away then again--- i'm relieved you haven't i continue to shrink and i'm unable to stop it its only secondary to the power of your gaze your intrigue puzzles me but i refuse to question it even as i reduce in size i'm grateful you pay me such attention why do you effect me so? i keep asking myself--- in your company i feel next to insignificant but you still have yet to look away so i'm thankful you still can see me by now i must be too small to be seen how am i being noticed by you? fearful i will soon shrivel into nothingness i intensely stare back at you then i see it--- it's in your eyes... i'm gigantic © 2013 Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)Author's Note
