All for One (mind-body-soul)

All for One (mind-body-soul)

A Poem by Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)
"

a friend inspired me to let a wall down

"

blades as long as swords

or as small as pieces of shattered glass

cut so deep...

that they penetrate my soul

each new wound is continously cut

until it starts to mold

my body is what they are trying to kill

but its not what has already died

they've destroyed the inner me

so where could my shell hide

my body continues to fight the battle

it has already lost

my body yearns to be the sacrifice

but the exact opposite already paid the cost

my soul screams in agony

because its stuck in between

how can i keep it together

if they've already seperated the team

my mind lies dead

and my body prays to be next

my soul fears it's very existence...

for it has to finish the text

Author's Note

Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)
This was written when I was 18... did quite a bit of writing in that phase of my writing. This is my first truly introspective piece, I hope you enjoy it. As always, thanks for reading.

My pleasure...:)
Excellent read and write. Like how you captured human dis-ease. We can find a way to heal and eventually become immune. Pen on, dear poet.
