my owner

my owner

A Poem by Heavyhearted

for he is the person missing

from my life, drowning life.

he kisses my soul then in a second

pushes me back to the mouldy dark.

bleaching my thoughts,

stripping my ideas,

i lose myself to him

then i fall apart, but not for him.

he's a child, a god;

he begins but doesn't finish.

my darling, my predator, he is

the only consoler to my misery.

he is the illness and the cure

the disease

the epidemic

my shield, who knows me

the father who owns me

but after all, he's just an empty, shiny shell.
