Who Am I©
By Dorothy Sutton©

How can someone love me
Now that I am getting old
Now all my looks are changing
But inside a heart of gold,

My body too is changing
Now the years go rolling by
I’m looking in the mirror
Then I think who am I,

Where have all my looks gone
the figure that I once had
who is this older woman now
that is not looking too bad?

Most people say I’m pretty
But I find I cannot see
But inside me so deeply
Nothing changed I am still me.

And that's the truth, aye? All that remains from beginning to end is that which is on the inside.
