Seeds of LoveA Poem by Heidi CauseyMother- I have made promises- Promises I can’t keep- To love all- All you place in front of me- These people- Those of mean, greed, and uncaring- I have made promises- To love all- All you place in front of me- How do I keep such things- Keep such promises- I can’t keep giving love- Love to those who refuse to receive- Mother- I have made promises- Promises to your branches and leafs- To the lands you place in front of me- Mother- Promises I just can’t keep- How do I go on loving- Loving those of mean and greed Mother- I have made promises- Promises on the air - Promises on the lands around me- Mother- Your promises bloom- From single seeds of love- Granting me all I need- Mother- How can I keep all promises made by me- They are just seeds- Seeds left by the wilting flower that is me- Mother- These promises- How do I keep loving- Loving what does not love me- All those of mean, greed, and uncaring Mother- These promises made by you to me- Providing all I need- Through the wind, water, and trees- Mother- My promises are just seeds- They lack the love- Love from the wind, water, and me- Mother- I think I see- I can love those who will never love me- With your own promises around me- I shall continue planting my seeds- Perhaps one day- Mother- They will love as we- Until then Live and let be- I will keep my promises " Mother- I shall plant my seeds. © 2014 Heidi CauseyAuthor's Note
