Beyblade Metal clans: The Sting of thief Manticore

LAST TIME ON BEYBLADE! Finally reaching The Firefury clan's headquarters, Todd and Angelo's request is turned down. As they were about to leave, they're ambushed by a Firefury blader with his SS bey, Gladiator Chimera. The blader that answered the door attacks them as well, but is immediately knocked out of the battle. Using a new special move, Angelo pummels Chimera back. Retaliating, the blader is dismayed to find that his special move glances right off of minotaur. Todd re-enters the fight, and takes out Chimera with his special move,Tidal Spear.

The blader fell to his knees, and stared at his defeated bey. "Chimera...lost. How are you guys so powerful?" He turned to Angelo. "My special move glanced right off of your bey. How?" Angelo leered at him in disgust.

"Like I'll tell you after you attacked us. We'll take this as an official refusal of our union against royal clan. You might want to kiss up to them, because with Earthshock and Shadowscythe aligned, you'll need all the help you can get."

"That's right." Todd agreed.

"We'll see about that." They turned to see who had spoken, and saw Christine standing in front of all the bladers of Firefury clan. "You'll have to get out of here first. LET IT RIP!"

Every blader in sight launched their beys at the two lone bladers.

"LET IT RIP!" Angelo roared as he launched Minotaur into the oncoming fray. Todd did the same with Icthyocentaur. "GO HARD MINOTAUR! SHOW NO MERCY!!!" Minotaur ripped into the wave of beys, and scattered them by the dozens. However, a barrage balance SS bey with a poison green elemental wheel appeared, and charged. The charge glanced off of Minotaur, and slammed into Icthyocentaur. A dark boy with a gloomy hood cackled.

"SPECIAL MOVE...THEIF MANTICORE...DAGGER STING!" Manticore glowed with green energy, and struck Icthyocentaur with a barrage attack. Suddenly, Icthyocentaur gave out, and stopped spinning.

"GAAHHHH!!! WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?" Todd howled.

"HAHAHA! Manticore's Dagger Sting drains his opponent's energy." The boy gloated. This served to seriously tick Angelo off. Todd seemed like a nice guy.

"Yeah, lets see you try it on my Paladin Minotaur!" He roared.

"Suit yourself. SPECIAL MOVE...THEIF MANTICORE...DAGGER STING!!! THERE'S NOTHING YOUR SWORD PUMMELER CAN DO TO STOP ME!"

"Who said anything about that?" Manticore continued to charge toward Minotaur.

"What!? You can't expect to block it!"

"Oh no? SPECIAL MOVE...PALADIN MINOTAUR...WALL OF DANCING SWORDS!!!" The now familiar wall of spiraling, blade-like energy appeared at the last second. Taking out dozens of beys as it did.

"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!!!?" The boy screamed. "MANTICORE! STOP!" It was too late, Manticore slammed into the wall, and flew in pieces. 

Deciding that enough was enough, Angelo proceeded to knock any remaining opponents out of the battle. Despite being a leader, Christine was very weak. One hit sent her bey flying. As it landed at her feet, she stared at it like she was about to have a stroke. "Y...You wiped out my whole clan...You're only one blader, but we are powerless against you." Angelo snatched minotaur out of the air, and grinned.

"Don't worry, just keep getting stronger." He turned to Todd, who was just as dumbfounded as christine. "We should get going." He turned back to christine. "You should really think about joining us. It's the right thing to do." With a swish of his cloak, he turned, and started to walk away with a still dumbfounded Todd stumbling after him.
