Chapter Six

Chapter Six

A Chapter by Roxii

After cleaning up the bathroom, putting the rest of her clothes away, and going to my room to make myself look decent, I decided it was time to eat.

Walking down the hall, I saw the cleaning-crew rushing into the Queen's bedroom, and the last person in was, non-the-less, Kristina.

"Psssssssst! Kristina." I whispered loudly. She didn't hear me, so I tried again.

    "Kristina!" No response.

Just then, one of the chefs was walking by with a cart of food. I was a bisquet, took it, aimed, and chucked it straight at her head. As it flew through the air, I got a direct bullseye.

"OW!" exclaimed Kristina. She turned around as her hand flew to the back of her head.

"Kristina," I whispered annoyed, "Get the hell over here!" She sighed in remorse and slumpily walked over.

"Ya know, just because your Skye's servent pet and at her rank, it doesn't mean your the boss of me. You're still a peasent. Just. Like. Me."

I look at her with the stinkeye. As I am at first confused, then angered.

"That is- The Queen- to you," I say as I poke her in the chest, "and, actually it does, but that still doesn't mean I have to use it against you, so why don't you shut your mouth?!"

Kristina looked at me with a shocked expression. She knew I was right, but that still doesn't mean I have any right to be a boss of her.

"I'm trying to help you here, but if your gonna be s****y then ..." My voice trailed off as I began to turn around.

"No no no!" I'm immediatly tugged backwards as she begins to panic, "what are you talking about?"

"Look." I say with annoyance, "I know you took Sky- I mean, the Black Queen's ruby necklace, and she found out that it's missing!"

Kristina's eyes got really big as she realized my words.

"No! You have to help me put it back, Mackenzie! You have to he-"

I quickly clamp my hands over her mouth and look around for others.

"Will you be quiet?! You're gonna get yourself caught!"

Kristina finally starts to calm down.

"Okay," I start, "I will help you, but you have got to listen to me. Okay?"

She nods her head yes as I remove my hands from her mouth, finally.

    "Okay, so here's the plan."

Just then, the door at the end of the hall slams.

"Well well well," comes her voice, "looks like I found my favorite criminal."

Then, as we both turn, I see the Black Queen, walking slowly down the hall from the lounge where the cleaning crew goes, swinging her once-stolen necklace in one hand, as she holds Kristina's coat in the other.

"Oh Kristina," she smiles and says with a mocking tone, "Gotcha!"
