Coco Hyanie (before Kosnor)

Coco Hyanie (before Kosnor)

A Poem by H. A. M.
"

It was for a contest. Pick a person at random and write a poem about them.

"

Coco Hyanie

So easy to pull

From her name.

It could mean

The rich chocolate

In my cup.

It still adds to her fame.

New to her work

I took time and did read.

Let it stand

for ten grand

Because that’s what I need.

Not just whispering sweet nothings

Because nothings this sweet.

I Never do idle chit chat

but I’ll dwell and hear that

Over

And over again.

In the hierarchy of ranking

what really does matter

are words

that are heard

over electronic chatter.

…and

Because

she’s not high

in her ranking

isn’t something of disgust.

Some of the best music

I’ve heard

came from the back of the bus.

This is a brilliant tribute to the best muse getting through, no matter the popularity stakes HAM! Very well written. Smiling at you, Tai, hoping you win.

Too cool I msn searched my name and instead of finding my works, I was pleasantly surprised by this. I really should get more active in this site. Right now I'm am poeticly homeless. I tend to like to be a part of one big community but it seems I haven't find the write place for my mixed styles and subjects. Thank you. I'm going to save this is my scrapbook.

Yep, Indie music is sometimes the best, just like writing that is not top ranked!
I liked this, Ham, you did a cool job at trying to figure out someone just by their screen name :)

Wow, HAM!!! This is the first entry I'm reading and I love it!!!!! It's so great!! I'm jumping on that last line bandwagon, cuz it is very hot!! The rest of the piece is just as wonderful, with your catchy rhymes and subtle musings. I adore it!

For picking at random...you pulled it off well. I thought for sure you knew her personally...*L* Back o the bus, eh?

um yeah. You are getting the finger snap - the head nod and the cool knowing look for this one. I really thought this was going to be a play on words and go off into a drug poem of some sort - judging from the title but I am SO glad it didn't
The last line - man I need a bumper sticker.....maybe I will put it in my screensaver. that is a brilliant line. A mantra for the masses.
You done good.
