True Story

The first time I met her,

I smiled an asked,

"Do I get a hug?"

She said, "Well, ya"

In the middle of the hug

she gasped, "You're choking me!"

I pulled back an laughed,

"I'm sorry"

 

Then later she introduced me to my crush

Saying, "Helen, this is Adam.

Adam, this is Helen.

Ok now you can like hug or shake hands

or whatever it is you guys do."

Then pulled our hands together,

So of course we shook hands!

 

As I went through the difficulty of

my family's troubles,

she was always there to listen

an give advice

She was always ready for a hug

Anytime I needed one

 

Now We've fought once to often

"You need to find a new best friend"

A stab in the heart that will never fully heal

I should have been there for her

Best Friends Forever we said

What happened? Where was I?

What will I do without her there with me?

 

Somehow, someday, I might survive

but I just have one last thing to say,

"Annie, I'll love you forever"

Awww this this was so sweet but so sad! I've had that falling out with a friend that I considered a sister. Nice piece, written like a memory. Very nicely done!!

awww... that's so sweet that I'm crying. Now and then I look back to when a person I once called a best fried couldn't even be called a friend now. It's hard and it hurts...

hmmm, Im so sorry. Its always hard to lose a 'best friend'. I guess even more so when or if its because of your doing. Sometimes we need to evaluate ourselves in order to determine the problem and then attempt to deal with it. Thank God for forgiveness so then if your really sorry, then maybe your friend may forgive you:)
