Since I'm a pacifist, I tend to shy away from poems about knights. I don't take a shine to glorifying war or strife between humans. That being said, this is actually a great poem about a knight. You've really shown a distinct point of view here that defines his role as a knight in a way that makes perfect sense, but you use a fresh perspective, quite different than anything I've read about knights before. It almost makes me, the pacifist, crawl into his skin & feel that belligerent pride of being the best killer! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Sounds like a lonely existence. Interesting use of rhyme here, very creative.
