A Story by Adam Latham
"

100 word flash fiction piece that I wrote a few years ago. :)

"
'No one takes the time to dig a proper grave anymore,' Thomas mumbled to himself, as he slammed a spade down hard into the weed infested ground to reveal the pristine earth underneath.
'It's become a lost art. Nowadays it's all fancy diggers scooping out holes willy-nilly without a thought for a straight edge. You wouldn't catch me behind the wheel of one of those monstrosities, that's for sure.'
Spades are so much better, he thought, and so much more versatile. Whoever heard of a husband killing their cheating wife with a bulldozer to the back of the neck?

Nicely intriguing! I enjoy doing 100-word stories becuz it forces us to pack a lot of meaning into few words & you've succeeded at this goal. Your spiel is also very original, with tongue-in-cheek commentary coming off a little high-and-mighty, yet really a deep & rank lecture on perfection. The ending lets the idea of murder linger on with no real conclusion, just speculation. Nice job! (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie
