Mr. Smoo

Mr. Smoo

A Poem by Gypsy Dreamer
"

Fun lyrical poem. (Smoo rhymes with to or you.) never know... lol

"

Ha! Ha! What ever happened to Mr. Smoo...
with his big top hat and his dirty boots.
Walked with a cane, his stature tall.
A grunt and a smile he had for all.

Yea, Yea, I remember him well...
Polite and gentle as I could tell.
All the kids loved him so...
Follow him they would up and down the road.

My, my before I left town...
Autumn was upon the ground.
Saw Mr. Smoo walking so slow...
Had a feeling I would see him no more.

No, no it's not a surprise...
thinking back to realize...
one of my biggest memories of then...
was of Mr. Smoo, our big tall friend.

Wow fantastic poem! Reminds me of a Victorian era children's literature. I can clearly see an eccentric, kind, loveable old character with little chimney sweeps and flower selling girls sneaking off from thier duties to flock around him and hear a magical adventure tale.

A interest poem. I like the tale. A nice flow of words and a good character to describe in this poem. Thank you for the fun poem to read.
