Friends to the End

Friends to the End

A Poem by Gypsy Dreamer
"

Mixture of feelings about my ex husband and his absence.

"
Never thought you would leave this way
never ever in any hour of the day
I prayed, I prayed and how I prayed
to make it all... go away.
Now I'm sitting here sad
thinking back to the life we had
I prayed, I prayed oh how I prayed
that I would forget all the bad.
You found me again on the internet
at first I fought had many regrets
I prayed, I prayed, I really prayed
to let go, forgive and let...
You back in as a friend
worked alright but then
got that note and freaked within
I'm sick at heart
I'm torn again.
Said you died
no longer here
can't fight back
all these tears
wasted time
while hearts mend
we were friends
to the end.
End?
End?

I don't know. Those people who left us can do a repeat. I had a woman come back twice. Each time I expected less. I always saw the old goodbye and never felt the confident of forever. Internet open doors for old friends to reappear. Some are a good renewal and some need to be deleted. I like this poem. I like the question at the end. A excellent poem.

Very emotional and it's very evident that it came from your heart. Well written.

Thanks J. Man, was this a mistake... just typical behavior of the "dead" person. He's not dead anymore. Another way he tried to get attention from me I guess. So now as I told him... he is gone to me forever. I no longer want communication with him. There are certain emotions nobody should play around with. So the poem still applies but in a different light and yet it's a light that don't shine at all anymore.
Thank you for the nice critique. It was from my heart.

Sadly beautiful, sometimes the end is exactly that "The End"
