Fighting Shame

Fighting Shame

A Poem by Gypsy Dreamer
"

~In the name of one true God

"
Do you actually think that I
could possibly be taken by
a fictitious character with fangs
when real demons lurk in the sky?

I beg your pardon my dear
for I have only one fear
nothing to do with your tale
nor entering the gates of hell.

So take your vampires
your blood and veins
don't leave anything
nothing remains

For what I fight
dwells within
within this skin
this skin of sin

What I need
fulfills me whole
to be without
is a guilt fed soul

So keep your stories
keep your fame
I'm fighting demons
I'm fighting shame.

I like this poem. Your statements are true. No reason to fear demons and vampires. Real things to fear is our weaknesses and shame. I believe few are clean of mistakes and if we learn to be better. We will be OK. A outstanding poem.
