I am a blank slate
nothing written on me
pure as the pristine snow
innocent, full of wonder.

I see you, I see them.
I trust you, I don't trust them.

written on, as I slumber.

Do you do what you do?...
or do you do what they do?...

Computing faster now
you feed me information
you feed me something
I'm breathing something.

Getting a good head start yes?
Am I really?
Have you done your research,
or have you done nothing.

Do you do what you do?

My slate is filling fast
but will never fill
I ask you another way...
am I being cared for?

Are you doing what it takes
to keep me safe
to keep me from harm
from the wolves at the door?

I am alive and growing
