In the Twilight

In the Twilight

A Poem by Gypsy Dreamer
"

Voice in the waking hours, between here and there.

"

I woke up this morning
with you on my mind...

I couldn't set you aside
nor behind.

Jesus help us
my heart it did plead...

act of separation
is not of my needs.

Divide and conquer
what it really means...

is not what we think
trap of endless seams.

Through twilight sleep
your voice was so clear...

awaken my child
awaken my dear.

to take me out
of any aspect of life...

is to take away
your soul and your strife.

and as I rest
my tortured head...

many are taught
this very dread.

Fight it I will
fight it with might...

I jump up to forget
but forget I cannot.

Jesus help us
I repeat from within...

with you "out" of anything
is a soul torturing sin.
