"finding Jesus"

You're curious
this I feel
you wanna know him
and yet still...

you are afraid
what others think
what others say
you may sink

you feel you have
to give up living
the fun of sin
and start giving

you think out loud
they go to church
they wear strange clothes
oh which is worse

what about the parties
different person every night
my pills and booze
my porn, my life!

I say to you
maybe live to be ninety
how's that compare
to an infinity?

It doesn't matter
if it's fear you find
your Savior true
just don't be blind

Because in time
you will learn
from His pure soul
His love you yearn.

Don't back away
don't be shy
He's as much yours
as the next guys

remember when
you heard that saying
a weight's been lifted
it's real, i'm not playin'

weight is lifted
heart's made light
I wish this for you
I wish this tonight

then you will know
what I already know
and as you tell others
the purity grows
