My Wolf, dedicated to Sam and the Pack

This is a poem written by me, in honor of Sam Roth and the rest of the Pack. These characters are from the Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy, Shiver, Linger, and Forever, by Maggie Stiefvater. Read them!

The lonely crying through the dark;

At winter’s mercy, ever changing;

With the bite of frost comes the new skin;

Waiting for the changing kin;

 

My human body at last preserved;

My winters now seen through human eyes;

At the mercy of the cure;

Hoping it will last forever;

 

As a wolf, my life prevails;

Living at the mercy of the sun;

As it comes, I come too;

Becoming me, becoming anew;

 

This is my life, this is me;

The warmth and cold in perfect harmony;

Until the cure is found;

Both of my lives together are bound.

I liked the rhyming scheme and everything flowed real well. This definitely was a poem to think about for me (don't worry that's a good thing) I really liked this. Well done!
